At Guildford Childcare Centre, we’re excited to share what’s blooming in our Daycare and Out of School Care (OOSC) programs this month. 🍁 Daycare & Preschool: Exploring the Wonders of Fall
Our daycare and preschoolers are soaking up the magic of fall through hands-on learning and themed play. This month, our curious explorers are diving into:
- 🔤 Letters: A to E
- 🔢 Numbers: 0 to 3
- 🎨 Color of the Month: Gray — perfect for those cozy fall clouds and friendly elephants!
- 🚦 Opposites Concept: Stop & Go — fun lessons through songs, games, and pretend play.
We’d also like to give a warm welcome to our new families joining the Guildford community! We’re so happy to have you with us on this adventure of learning and laughter. ❤️
🎒 OOSC Adventures: Where Fun Meets Friendship
Our Out of School Care program is packed with activities that spark creativity, teamwork, and excitement every single day. Here’s what our older stars will be up to this month:
- 🧩 Monday: Structured Play — teamwork and imagination rolled into one!
- 🔬 Tuesday: Science & Math Madness — experiments, challenges, and “aha!” moments.
- 🎲 Wednesday: Bingo & Baking — fun games and yummy treats!
- 🎨 Thursday: Art Day — a chance to let creativity shine.
- 🎬 Friday: Movie & Treat Day — the perfect way to wrap up a great week!
Snack Reminder: Please pack a healthy, nut-free afternoon snack for your child to keep those energy levels up! 🍎🥪
📅 Special Days to Celebrate This Month
- ❤️ November 11 – Remembrance Day: A day to pause, reflect, and honour the heroes who served our nation. We’ll be talking about peace and gratitude in simple, meaningful ways.
Please note: Our daycare will be closed on this statutory holiday. - 💛 November 13 – World Kindness Day: We’ll be filling our very own Kindness Jar! Each child will add notes about their acts of kindness — from helping a friend to picking up litter or sharing a smile. Little hearts doing big things! ✨
- 🌟 November 24 – Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day: It’s time to shine! We’ll host a mini talent show where children can showcase their special skills — whether it’s dancing, building, singing, or telling the best jokes. 🎤🎨🎶
🎨 Programs & Activities: A Peek Inside Our Classrooms
- 🖍️ Arts & Crafts: Our creative kiddos will dive into fall-themed crafts — think leaf collages, scarecrow stick puppets, acorn paintings, and even a little diorama magic!
- 🍂 Outdoor Adventures: We’ll take nature walks, explore the colours of fall, and play games that get little legs moving and little minds inspired.
- 🎵 Music & Movement: Songs, rhythm, and dance will keep everyone grooving while building coordination and confidence.

📢 Parent Reminders
- ✅ Monthly Fee Deadline: Fees are due by Friday, October 31, 2025.
- ✅ Subsidy Renewals: Please make sure your subsidy is up to date.
- ✅ Drop-off Cut-off Time: 9:00 AM — arrivals after this time can’t be accommodated.
- ✅ Extra Essentials: Pack extra weather-appropriate clothes and indoor shoes.
- ✅ Withdrawal Notice: One month’s notice is required if your child will be leaving the program.

- 🎄 December 24, 2025 – 7:00 am to 12:00 noon
- 🎅 December 25 & 26, 2025 – Daycare is closed
- 🌟 December 29 & 30, 2025 – 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
